Profile Drilling has 3 traditional style drill rigs which we use to obtain geotechnical information for our clients. These rigs have varied capabilities which include SPT (140lbs over 30” auto drop), CPT and monitor well installation from 2” to 8”. Soil samples are collected with Spit Spoon Samplers. All these rigs have hydraulic auto drop to ensure accurate SPT and CPT numbers. Also available with these rigs is the ability to do Packing tests. Borehole Packers are suitable for a wide variety of applications in open or cased holes. Uses include permeability testing, monitor well sampling, packer piezometers, hydro-fracturing of formations, sealing artesian flows in open or cased boreholes and pressure grouting. Our geotech rigs are also able to do mud rotary. This comes in handy when the over burden is just too dense to auger though. All our traditional rigs have rubber tracks which are designed to not harm the asphalt yet give them great traction off road and the ability to access remote locations.

Rigs

  • Mobile B-60

This rig is our most powerful rig with over 19,000 ft-lbs of torque. This rig is set up to hollow stem auger with a size of up to 10 ¼”hollow stems and core rod of up to PQ. This rig is also set up to do Mud rotary with PQ. This allows us to sample and install wells to depths up to 300’ in over burden.

  • Diedrich D-50

This rig is our intermediate rig. Once again it is rubber tracked to allow us to get to remote locations. With its hollow stem augers it is capable of SPT/CPT sampling and monitoring well installation.

  • Mobile B-45

Our smallest traditional rig. Having slightly less torque than the Diedrich it has the smallest platform and is designed to get into tighter spaces that the larger rigs cannot.

  • b37x

    B-37X

Profile Drilling’s flagship drill rig. A fully hydraulic long stroke multi-use drill rig that puts out 8000 ft/lbs of torque and rotations speeds upwards of 1000 rpm.
