SonicSampDrill SRS (Small Roto Sonic)
Big power in a small package. The SonicSamp SRS offers all the advantages of a larger sonic rig in a smaller more affordable package. Relying on true 150 Hz sonic vibration and state of the art thin wall tooling for optimal energy transfer, the SRS can get you the soil data you need in the most challenging conditions.
Sonic drilling is advantageous in almost all drilling conditions. Nothing is faster in sand. No need to re-tool in cobbles or gravel. Amazing recovery in fill. Sub-surface concrete pad? It goes right through it. Whether you need to install standard monitoring wells, double case wells or collect soil samples for excess soil management, our sonic rig has you covered. We have also added an SPT auto hammer for collecting N values with cones or split spoons.
Tooling consists of a 5-foot-long 3” or 4” diameter core barrels and 4” or 5” casing.
3” diameter core barrel and 4” casing can be advanced to 30+m. Utilizing casing in consolidated stratigraphy may require the use of water to help remove cuttings and cool the bit. Samples are always collected dry.
Safety is front and center with the SRS.
Remote control driving operation, rotation guards and lockouts, and mechanized rod handling and break-out functions all help to minimize the risks associated with standard drill rigs. No more manual lifting of heavy casing or the need to use pipe wrenches to break threaded joints.
