Well
Decommissioning
Profile Drilling understands the significance of proper well maintenance and does their part for the environment by properly installing and decommissioning wells in accordance with Regulation 903.
When decommissioning we remove the monitoring well with its old grout seal and replace the annular space with fresh grout. Once completed, we can cap the location with asphalt, concrete, gravel or soil and grass depending on the site. A well log or well cluster form will be filled out and a copy sent to the Ministry of the Environment and another to the well owner.
Our experience and large arsenal of rigs enables us to decommission all types of monitoring wells in just about any place imaginable.
Rigs
-
AMS 9700 VTR PRO
This Direct Push rig is mounted on a Rubber Track. This rig is set up to work on more diverse terrain. It handles slopes, fields and areas where a truck would get stuck. Once again it has a powerful auger head to install 2” monitors with the proper annular space requirements.
-
Mobile B-60
This rig is our most powerful rig with over 19,000 ft-lbs of torque. This rig is set up to hollow stem auger with a size of up to 10 ¼”hollow stems and core rod of up to PQ. This rig is also set up to do Mud rotary with PQ. This allows us to sample and install wells to depths up to 300’ in over burden.
-
Mobile B-45 HD
Our smallest traditional rig. Having slightly less torque than the Diedrich it has the smallest platform and is designed to get into tighter spaces that the larger rigs cannot.
-
Diedrich D-50
This rig is our intermediate rig. Once again it is rubber tracked to allow us to get to remote locations. With its hollow stem augers it is capable of SPT/CPT sampling and monitoring well installation.
-
B-37X
Profile Drilling’s flagship drill rig. A fully hydraulic long stroke multi-use drill rig that puts out 8000 ft/lbs of torque and rotations speeds upwards of 1000 rpm.
-
SonicSampDrill. SRS (Small Roto Sonic)
The SonicSamp SRS offers all the advantages of a larger sonic rig in a smaller more affordable package. Relying on true 150 Hz sonic vibration and state of the art thin wall tooling for optimal energy transfer, the SRS can get you the soil data you need in the most challenging conditions.
